From concept to completion, Philip works with a team of experts to help bring the vision of a project to life.  Each sequence is meticulously planned and executed in order to capture the most seminal action imagery possible.  

From storyboards, location selection and weather forecasting, to the creation of specialized camera mounts and process rigs;  Philip works with a specialized team of cameramen, meteorologists, world class athletes and stuntmen to ensure that he and his team capture the sequences at the right time in the right location with the best equipment for the job.

Seamless integration of actors is pivotal to ensuring that the action footage captured conveys the intent of the story seamlessly and believably.  Philip has been very successful in executing this integration through both physical and post production. 

During production he has worked closely with actors Gerrard Butler, Edgar Ramirez and Luke Bracey to name a few.  In Post Production he has worked with notable editors such as Daniel Lebental (Ant Man, Iron Man) and Oscar winner Thom Noble in order to successfully integrate editorially, not only actors, but to also help create to most seamless edits of this footage.

Project depending, predicting when and where the best waves and weather conditions are going to occur is one of the most difficult decisions a weather dependent shoot needs to make.  Philip has a team of specialized meteorologists that are trained in making sure that they are at the right place at right time. These resources and expertise have resulted in capturing some of the biggest days in surfing history over the last two decades. Philip is the only director to have done so in the world.
